Treendale Farm Hotel
As lead architect, Benson Bailey Studio delivered the design for the Treendale Farm Hotel — a landmark hospitality venue in the South West that combines the charm of a country homestead with the scale and functionality of a contemporary pub.
Our vision was to create a destination that feels both familiar and fresh, a place where locals feel at home and visitors are drawn to linger. The design draws inspiration from vernacular farm architecture, using warm natural materials, pitched roofs, and generous verandahs to evoke a sense of rural comfort, while integrating modern hospitality facilities to support a high-volume, all-day offering.
Inside, a series of interconnected spaces, from the bustling public bar to the relaxed bistro, family dining areas, and expansive beer garden are designed for flexibility and year-round use. The interiors balance rustic textures and robust finishes with contemporary detailing, ensuring durability while maintaining an inviting atmosphere.
The Treendale Farm Hotel is more than a venue; it’s a community hub that reflects its regional setting while meeting the demands of a modern hospitality operation. Our role as lead architect encompassed masterplanning, architectural design, and coordination to deliver a venue that is as operationally efficient as it is welcoming.
