Milly's Acre

Baillie Hill is a transformative redevelopment project in the heart of Victoria Park, designed by Benson Bailey Studio, as the lead architects, to breathe new life into one of Western Australia’s most significant heritage sites.

The masterplan reimagines the historic Edward Millen Home and its surrounding parklands as a vibrant, multi-use community precinct. Our vision balances the careful restoration of the heritage fabric with contemporary interventions that invite year-round activity and connection.

Baillie Hill will feature a diverse mix of spaces, including hospitality venues, a market square, artist studios, produce gardens, performance areas, and landscaped public spaces, creating a destination that blends culture, creativity, and community. A large hospitality venue anchors the site, with design elements that pay homage to the building’s historic character while providing modern functionality.

Art and storytelling are central to the project. We worked with local artists to integrate bespoke works into the architecture and landscape, ensuring the site’s history is honoured while fostering a sense of place for future generations.

With its combination of heritage preservation, urban activation, and sustainable design, Baillie Hill is set to become a landmark destination for Victoria Park — a place where locals and visitors can gather, eat, create, and celebrate.
