The Geraldton West End Hotel
Breathing New Life into Historic Theatres
We are proud to have received development approval for the Geraldton West End Hotel, a landmark hospitality project located within two of the city’s most significant heritage buildings the Geraldton Radio Theatre and Kings Hall.
Heritage Renewal with a Contemporary Heart
Our design carefully restores and repurposes these iconic theatres, weaving their rich history into a modern hotel and hospitality destination. The project balances the integrity of the existing heritage fabric with bold new insertions, creating a venue that feels both authentic to Geraldton’s past and alive with contemporary energy.
A Precinct of Experiences
The Geraldton West End Hotel has been envisioned as more than a place to stay — it is a social and cultural hub for locals and visitors alike. The design includes:
-
A refurbished theatre, reactivated for events and entertainment
-
A front bar that spills onto the street, connecting with Geraldton’s West End
-
A family-friendly bistro with generous dining spaces
-
Large alfresco areas that take advantage of Geraldton’s coastal climate
-
Expansive play areas designed to engage children and support families
-
Activated laneways, transforming underutilised connections into lively, walkable public spaces
-
A New Chapter for Geraldton’s West End
The project will reinvigorate the West End precinct, bringing people together in a venue that honours Geraldton’s heritage while looking firmly to the future. With its combination of history, hospitality, and family-friendly design, the Geraldton West End Hotel is set to become a destination venue for the Mid West region.
